The short version

Every solver is free to use, and there is nothing to sign up for or buy. The solvers are provided as they are, for learning and for fun — please do not rely on them for anything that matters.

1. Who you are agreeing with

Rubik's Solver is operated by AeroLambda Tech & Mental Health Consulting LLC. Using the site means accepting these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

2. Using the solvers

The solvers are free. No account is needed and none of the puzzle states you enter are stored or linked to you — see the privacy notice for what does and does not get kept.

Please do not:

• send automated traffic at a rate that degrades the site for other people;
• attempt to break, probe, or gain unauthorised access to the service;
• republish the solvers as your own service.

Reading the page source, learning from it, and solving as many puzzles as you like are all entirely welcome.

3. What the solvers do and do not promise

The smaller puzzles are solved by exhaustive search of their entire state space, and where a solution is described as shortest that claim is checked against independently published mathematics. The Rubik's Cube 3x3x3 uses a two-phase algorithm and produces short, near-optimal solutions, which is stated as such wherever it appears.

Even so, the site is provided as is, for education and entertainment. There is no warranty that a solution will be correct, shortest, or suitable for any particular purpose, and no promise that the site will be available or uninterrupted. Do not use it for competition scoring, academic submission, or anything else where being wrong carries a cost, without checking the result yourself.

4. Liability

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited — including your statutory rights as a consumer, which these terms do not affect. Beyond that, and to the extent the law allows, liability for any claim arising from your use of the site is limited to the amount you have paid in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

5. Trademarks

This is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Spin Master, Rubik's Brand Ltd, grubiks.com, or any puzzle manufacturer. “Rubik's” and other puzzle names are trademarks of their respective owners and are used here only to describe which physical puzzle each solver models.

6. Changes

These terms may change. The date at the top says when they last did. If a change materially affects a paid subscription, subscribers will be told before it applies to them.

7. Law and contact

These terms are governed by the law of Portugal, and the courts of Portugal have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in.
